PATRICK JACKSON (US)
PIG PARADISE (2017)
For this newly commissioned work, Patrick Jackson photographed a mural surrounding the Farmer John’s Meat Packing Plant in Vernon, California. The mural, covering over 1 kilometer of wall, depicts a utopia where farmers and pigs live in harmony. The resulting documentation is presented in the Momentum Kunsthall’s black box. Patrick Jackson works within the context of site-specific art, communicating directly with the architectural and social surroundings through installation, sculpture and object trouvé. He creates situations and ambiance that can be described as uncanny while remaining rooted in the familiarity of the everyday.
